Cable Transfers (Throws, RTCAs, LSTs)

The system provides a facility to automate Cable throws, Record of Terminal and Address Changes, and Line Station Transfers. Binding post assignments are renumbered during this process if required.

The system provides the ability to perform “what if” cable transfers. This process identifies conflicts in attempted cable transfers. As cable transfer conflicts are identified, the user is allowed to resolve the conflicts and rerun the scenario until the results are satisfactory. When the “what if” scenario is complete, the system generates the necessary cut sheet documentation for the work order.

Cable throws, RTCA’s, and LST’s are preposted within the system. This provides notification to the users that these pairs are involved in a work order process and the involved cable pairs are identified as such. The system accommodates the time involved to accomplish cable and pair transfers by allowing users to select subsets of the total to transfer. The subsets are final posted as the work is completed in the field.
