Terminal / Access Point Maintenance

The system provides for the creation and maintenance of termination and access points within the network. Typical termination / access points are main distribution frames, serving terminals, cross-connect boxes, remote terminals, and pedestals. The user enters the wire center/exchange ID, terminal ID, terminal name, pair range, term type and term size to create a terminal.

Cross-connect boxes require the addition of the in-count and out-count of the cross-connect. Terminal block additions cause the system to automatically renumber the binding posts. The user also identifies a preferred count to be used for pair assignments from a serving terminal or pedestal. The user can add, edit, and delete termination and access points.
